The ladies at the Women’s Care Center are learning a new way of life. Holiday weekends have taken on a whole new meaning for some! What used to be non-stop partying for any given reason has now turned into a true appreciation for what the holiday is all about.
The 4th of July was no different. Not only were the ladies celebrating the freedom and birth of our country, but they also celebrated the freedom that they have experienced from the strongholds of drugs and alcohol.
They kicked off their Friday night at their RU Recovery meeting in Astatula, followed by fireworks in Eustis. On Saturday night they were blessed with a concert at the Village Park Campus of First Baptist Leesburg, and Denver & the Mile High Orchestra did not disappoint! It was a joyous time truly celebrating our freedom and honoring those who fought for our freedom!! The concert ended just prior to the firework display in Wildwood! What a spectacular treat!
Sunday was an awesome message and worship at First Baptist Leesburg, once again honoring those who fought for our freedom. Recognizing the privilege that we have, living in the United States of America, is something that may have been taken for granted previously, but with sober minds also comes a true love and appreciation for what really matters.
The ladies ended their holiday weekend watching the fireworks at Venetian Gardens – a beautiful display! It proved to be a weekend of a group of ladies learning how to have clean, sober fun and most importantly, how to be the women God created them to be!
