Want to go for a ride?

Life is full of ups and downs, twists and turns, love and loss. And life would not be worth experiencing if it weren't just that. You can't have the good without the bad, you need to somehow learn to accept the bad and adjust it in a way that you can endure and overcome. ― K.M. Golland

Dorothy, lovingly referred to as Dottie, came to the Samaritan Inn having lived a life full of ups and downs, twists and turns. As a single mother of two, she felt the weight of responsibility bearing down on her as she faced homelessness. She had always been able to go at it alone, but now she faced something bigger than ever before… humbling herself allowing herself to break free of the pride of independence, and finally ask for help.

Here at the Samaritan Inn, we rallied around her bearing some of her burden allowing her to breathe, refocus, and prioritize. Through the skills and grace that she has received, she was able to start back on the road to success. Recently, we celebrated another success with her, SHE BOUGHT A CAR! What a milestone on the road of life.

This is a huge triumph for many of our families, not just having a car, but also budgeting and maintaining it. It’s always a “ride” with our families and we are always looking for partnering opportunities. If you would like to come along side of our families, we ask, “want to go for a ride”? We gladly accept your time, talent, and treasure on this journey to spiritual and financial security.
