On Thursday of last week, Norma Hawkins officially retired from the Christian Care Center. Norma is a very dear friend to our staff and campus overall, as she has served faithfully for 19 years! She spent a majority of that time serving as the Executive Assistant for the CCC, and she also spent time serving specifically in the Accounting Department. There were many a day that Norma has stayed here until the late hours of the night, carefully ensuring that everything was as it should be. She has seen many different seasons here at the Christian Care Center, and whereas there were many times that perhaps most people would have given up and gone elsewhere, Norma has faithfully stood by the CCC and has truly stayed the course for our ministries. I think a lot of people would agree with me that the Christian Care Center would not be what it is today without Norma Hawkins! Last Thursday, a group of employees as well as some volunteers gathered together for a retirement party for Norma and her husband, Virgil. Here are a few pictures from that day.
Norma, we love you so much and are forever grateful to the Lord for the lady you are and the love you have shown all of us through the years. Your presence is already missed on our campus, and we wish you and Virgil God’s richest blessings as you enjoy your retirement! Thank you for being such a precious friend, encourager, confidant and servant to our campus.
