Nicole's Story

Updated: Jun 6, 2019

Nicole came to the Women’s Care Center following incarceration. She was broken, without hope and feeling enormous guilt and shame for the part she had played in separating from her family. After making years of poor decisions, she made the one decision that would chart the course for her new future.

Nicole is a case for whom we made an exception. When she came to us, she had no financial support from any family or friends and therefore was unable to pay her fees here. It was because of some of our donors that we were able to take her in. If you would like to become a financial partner with our Women’s Care Center to allow us to continue ministering to women like Nicole, please contact Sherry Stewart, the Director of our Women’s Care Center, at 352-787-8929.

Nicole has truly experienced a change of heart, reconciled her relationship with her daughter and is excited about what the future holds. We had the opportunity to celebrate her baptism with her a short time ago, and her family has been attending church with her, as well.

What a blessing to see what God is doing in her and through her!

Since completing the program, she has been serving at ministries on campus and has recently started working at our Samaritan Inn. She also began to serve part-time as an assistant in the office at First Baptist Leesburg. Nicole, we love you and thank you for the many ways you have served all over our campus! God continues to transform lives at the Women’s Care Center!
