Ministry Continues During the Coronavirus

Wow, this past week has been very interesting, to say the least. We have had many unforeseen events arise, as terms such as “quarantining”, “COVID-19” and “social distancing” have suddenly become common lingo to our world, and rightfully so. Nevertheless, we want you to know that, while we are doing everything that we possibly can to be wise and extremely cautious, the Christian Care Center is still up and running. This is not at all because we are seeking to ignore the warnings and advice of our government, but simply because the needs still exist, and we want to meet those needs as best as we can.

Things are changing temporarily. For example, as you can see from the pictures below,

our Benevolence Center is seeing clients outside under tents instead of inside, as we normally do. We are keeping our on-campus residents in as much isolation as possible (even though occasionally we do let them step outside),

we are sanitizing more than ever before, and we are serving to-go meals to the homeless for the daily meal. We cannot ignore the needs before us, yet we are trying to take as many precautions as we can.

Having said that we ask that you remember us here at the Christian Care Center as we continue to seek to Meet Needs and Share Christ, especially in the midst of these interesting times. We truly are depending on the Lord’s hand to protect all of us as we continue to do what He has called us to do!

We pray that you all stay safe and healthy. Now, go wash your hands!
