Chelsey, A Life Transformed

Updated: Aug 6, 2019

Chelsey came to the Women’s Care Center in December 2018. She came after several relapses, plenty of bad decisions, and what felt like “the weight of the world” on her shoulders. The thought of being separated from her children made the decision to come even more difficult, but then she realized that even when she was with them, she wasn’t truly there.

Chelsey reunited with her children

Chelsey made the commitment and never swayed from her decision. Shortly after arriving, she learned of some legal problems. Instead of trying to run from them, as she had done in the past, she faced them head on. She took the necessary steps and faced all of her consequences, and then began the hard road to recovery.

After completing the program, Chelsey returned to her passion as a hair stylist, working at Smart Style Salon. She was able to reunite with her two beautiful children and move into the Samaritan Inn. Chelsey continues to give back on campus by giving haircuts to some of our residents and also to children at the Children’s Shelter.

We are so excited for the foundation that Chelsey is building for herself and her children. She has the loving support of her mother and sisters as well.
