Polly Bates is a spitfire of a volunteer at the Pregnancy & Family Care Center. That’s a good trait when you have a love for people and want what’s best for them and their babies! Her enthusiasm is contagious as she shares with pregnant women and new moms and dads about the importance of reading to their babies, even before they are born!
Caring people from our community donate baby books which are in turn given to parents who receive our services. In many cases, this is their baby’s first book! There are specially made bookmarkers placed in each baby book with information on the importance of reading to their baby even before they are born.
Polly’s initiation of this baby book ministry for moms and their babies and children has added yet another dimension to the outreach of the Pregnancy & Family Care Center.
